If I summed up my journey with microdosing mushrooms for trauma in 3 words they would be:
If conventional treatments like medications and therapy have fallen short for you as well, microdosing mushrooms for trauma presents a new possibility.
Picture this...
The sun breaking through this oppressive fog, offering a pathway to clearer skies and a more effective solution.
Microdosing mushrooms is the ingestion of sub-perceptual, non-hallucinogenic doses of psilocybin mushrooms, which is gaining A LOT of traction within innovative health and wellness circles.
Described as a "gentle awakening," this approach does not aggressively tear through your emotional barricades but subtly nudges them, fostering a profound yet gentle impact on your everyday functioning.
This gentleness is very appealing to survivors with PTSD.
I get it.
The terrifying thought of breaking open a deeply suppressed trauma with an intense macrodose mushroom journey is enough walk away from the healing potential altogether when you live with PTSD.
Microdosing mushrooms for trauma is catching attention...
...from researchers and wellness advocates alike, suggesting a significant shift in how emotional and cognitive flexibility can be enhanced.
How does this work, you ask?
Psilocybin facilitates increased neural plasticity, meaning it creates new healthy brain tissue pathways, and gracefully helps you acknowledge and integrate past traumas or suppressed traumas.
Starting a microdosing mushrooms for trauma practice requires a mixture of excitement, caution, and diligent preparation, especially considering the legalities of psilocybin, and the potential to trigger unhealed trauma wounds.
It's crucial to verify your local regulations and seek out regulated programs or clinical trials seeking volunteers.
This is THE medicine that can heal your trauma, and it needs to be treated with respect and reverence on all fronts.
The pain of trauma can be the catalyst for personal growth, leading us to discover inner strength and resilience we never knew we possessed.
Judith Lewis Herman
Understanding the appropriate dosage cannot be stressed enough!
Typical microdosing guidance mistakenly suggests taking 0.1-0.5 grams of dried psilocybin mushrooms every three days.
This method helps prevent the buildup of tolerance and maintains a consistent engagement with the substance’s subtle therapeutic effects.
If you live in a decriminalized area and you are interested in growing your own medicine for healing,
A word of caution...
This is very misleading-
The low end of 0.1 grams of psilocybin is a VERY LARGE DOSE.
You will definitely be hallucinating taking 0.5 grams, especially if you are growing your own potent medicine for healing.
When you are first starting your microdosing practice, opt for a dose the size of a long-grain size of rice.
You can always take more if you wish.
Remember, the point of microdosing is really not to “feel” anything at all.
If you are new to microdosing, and even if you aren’t, 0.1 grams initially does not feel like a microdose.
Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
Brené Brown
Microdosing alone isn't enough if you are seeking healing and lasting change, especially with trauma.
Psilocybin, at any dose, IS the medicine that can heal you, even when your trauma memories are suppressed.
It does, however, need to be integrated so the parts of you which were traumatized can be reintegrated into you as a whole person.
This is what softens the world you live in.
Integrating microdosing into existing treatment frameworks offers a scaffolding that enriches the introspective journey, making your medicine work harder for you.
The concept of "set and setting," which refers to one's mindset and the physical environment, plays a crucial role in enhancing the outcomes of your microdosing mushrooms for trauma journey.
Opting for a calm, secure, and familiar environment encourages deeper introspection and significantly influences the therapeutic journey.
The true act of microdosing is one which you don't "feel" any psychotropic effects of the shrooms...
But, lucky for you, you still FEEL something...especially with reverent integration and over time.
Microdosing gradually introduces subtle yet powerful shifts...in your awareness and decision-making, fostering a capacity to navigate previously daunting challenges.
This provides you with immense confidence, allowing you to feel more and more comfortable when faced with outside triggers...which lessen more and more over time as the trauma is "excavated" with the mushrooms and reverent integration practices.
ESPECIALLY when we are dealing with trauma and PTSD.
Remember, the mushrooms give you what you need, not necessarily what you want.
It is imperative to be extra gentle with yourself when you are healing with trauma.
I, myself, am a survivor, and despite decades of trauma therapy and years of healing with psilocybin, I am still triggered when I least expect it.
The good news is, the triggers become less, and with reverent integration and work with a trauma therapist, you can heal and feel safer in the world and relationships.
Drawing from the wisdom of practitioners like Francoise Bourzat, it is suggested that mushrooms reach deeper into the psyche than other psychedelics, making them especially potent for addressing deep-seated traumas.
Ignored traumas can complicate life significantly, impacting everyday functioning and manifesting in challenges related to:
Transforming life into a continuous battle of emotional regulation...
By microdosing psilocybin, you open a pathway to healing deep psychological wounds and soothing your nervous system.
“The soul always knows what to do to heal. The challenge is to silence the mind.”

...becomes crucial for your healing journey and is the secret sauce for true change and healing.

Integration, the process of weaving insights gained from microdosing into everyday life, is vital for achieving lasting change and establishing enduring happiness and joy.
My microdosing mushrooms journey in 2020.
I started microdosing after reading “How To Change Your Mind”, by Michael Pollan.
Initially I just wanted to see how they helped me.
Even though I have been alcohol sober since 2018, microdosing mushrooms has no doubt been the reason for the alcohol cravings to cease to exist.
A flood of creative expansion with writing, music and art exploded in my life.
But microdosing mushrooms for trauma is anything but rainbows and unicorns...
My triggers to anything under the sun became worse and worse...
When I was ready, the mushrooms started to show me I needed to dive into my childhood abuse and sexual traumas.
The effects of trauma can be passed down through generations, but so can the resilience and healing.
Dr. Soma Ganesan
As challenging as it has been to revisit my traumas from childhood, it has shed profound light, comfort and healing knowing I can heal from my traumas which have affected every area of my life for the last 42 years.
Without my reverent microdosing practice coupled with community and integration modalities like:
I might not ever have achieved the level of awareness and courage needed to dive into those traumas so I can finally begin to live a life of peace, joy and happiness that I’ve always deserved.
Microdosing mushrooms for trauma can help you live the life you've always deserved, too.
Homegrown psilocybin, harvested just beyond the magic window of time for harvest, right before the veil separates from the stem.
Microdosing mushrooms for trauma signifies a profound act of self-love and requires an immense amount of courage.
It invites you to confront your unresolved issues, often rooted in childhood experiences, and transform them into opportunities for growth and self-realization.
Undertaking the journey of microdosing mushrooms for trauma is about reviving your sense of self and navigating life's challenges with a renewed perspective and resilience.
It may feel daunting and scary as hell, but the journey is so worth it.
What I have found is...
The shadows in the cave aren’t as scary as I’ve allowed them to be my whole life.
This distorted thinking has severely negatively impacted my entire life, as it does with childhood abuse.
Because I've stared at the boogie man in the face of my deepest, darkest cave, I can exist in my skin in this world with more serenity, peace and ease.
Though the path may be arduous, it promises profound benefits and a deeper understanding of your experiences, ultimately stepping towards a clearer, more authentic existence.
