Reishi the Queen
Blue Oysters
Lion's Mane for the brain
Magic shrooms where decriminalizedIn answering your question "How do you grow mushrooms?"...let me first ask you a few things...
Are you tired of getting mushroom grow kits where there are zero instructions on how to start, care for your mushrooms and get multiple harvests?
Are you tired of mushroom grow kits that produce zero mushrooms for you?
And when you reach out to the company they either ghost you or, like on Amazon, you can’t even contact the company?
Are you ready to see how truly easy it is to grow your own mushrooms at home?
Are you ready to feel put to ease as a very beginner knowing no matter what, you will get mushrooms growing?
Are you ready to be amazed by the rapid and awe-inspiring experience of growing your own mushrooms at home?
Are you ready to finally have a gift idea in mind for everyone you know they'll love for every holiday? (lol)
Are you ready to taste the most amazing gourmet mushrooms you’ve ever tasted? That you grew?
Are you ready to feel the incredibly palpable healing energy and benefit of growing your own medicine, whether it’s Reishi the Queen, or magic mushrooms?
Are you ready to be blown away by the most forgiving grow policy of any mushroom kit company I’ve ever seen?
And to experience top notch customer service from a Cool Cat named Trevor from a small local Colorado mushroom farm (always support your small business mushroom farmers when you can!)?

I went on the website and just bought all 4 grow at home kits at once.
I do have to say it's pretty fun to have 4 different kinds of mushrooms growing in your house at once!
Ah! The joy of growing mushrooms at home.
The anticipation of seeing the first signs of pinning and growth!
It's definitely addicting.
And then you find yourself checking multiple times a day to see how fast they are growing...and you note the subtle differences from the last time you checked...
Then before you know it...
Poof!
You've been bit by the mushroom growing bug.
So, how do you grow mushrooms?
Psilly Willy believes most of the information surrounding the growth of mushrooms in your home is bogged down with too much unnecessary information. This causes the whole processes to be misconceived as something difficult.
The problems beginners often face are expensive kits, complicated instructions and inconsistent results. Our Mushroom Machine eliminates all of that.

Trevor laughed when he saw my sideways cooler for a mushroom house- it works every time!

Second flushI pretty much have a "send you stuff til you’re growing policy" as long as you’re respectful. Some people are just such assholes, I have to tell them "I’m all set helping you"...
Trevor
Don't be an asshole and Trevor will guarantee you grow mushrooms....
That's just good advice...isn't it??
Don't be an asshole.
(Coming from someone who's been an asshole once or twice.. :)

This is what I call the "lumpy lump" stage

About 3 weeks of growth
See the red color emerging?
Final growth- ready for tea
Harvest the Reishi with kitchen scissors by cutting the fruiting body at the base of the mushroom. Cut up the fungus into smaller pieces. Place in a pot with desired amount of water and simmer covered for 2 hours. Dilute as needed for taste...it will be bitter. I add lemon and honey and drink hot or cold before bed!
An important step here is to make sure you order your syringe the same day you order your counter culture kit.
That being said, I had a delay in receiving my syringe and my mycelium is growing like a champion!
See below.
I place my grain bag (when using Psilly's Willy's van) in the shelf above my oven and stove.
Make sure there is space in the bag behind the filter patch (white patch up top of the bag). This allows for adequate oxygen exchange for the mycelium.
Mycelium breathes in oxygen and breathes out CO2 (carbon dioxide) just like us :)
See the white spots? I'm super impressed with this growth at only 5 days with Sporeswaps.com spores through Psilly Willy's! This type of growth is usually what you see from cultures.
6 days from inoculation.
The growth speed of this mycelium is very impressive. This is why the health of the genetics of your spores or cultures is so crucial!
10 days of growth- about 50% covered with mycelium. Time to knead it all up with your hands so it looks like the next photo.
This is what your grain bag should look like after you knead the bag with your hands. This process ramps up the speed of the mycelium. Rampant mycelial growth is what will give you nice mushrooms and beat out any competitors that might contaminate your grow.
This is only 2 days post mix! I have never seen such impressive growth with spores. These genetics are cream of the crop, no doubt!
3 days post mixing. This growth is blowing my mind. I cannot wait to eat these shrooms!
Mycelial growth just 4 days post inoculation- this is fantastic growth! We're a mushroom growing company, not a mycology company. Our mission is to get people growing mushrooms!
